Thank you for the step by step portrait gem. I love how she came out and I spent part of my Saturday drawing her, but with some changes. I drew her to fit a description of a saucy book character that I had recently read about. I have emailed you the result, (I couldn't figure out how to share it here. )

That sounds amazing! I love that you made her your own and adapted her to a character you connected with—that’s exactly what these Gems are for! Thanks for sharing your work with me!

Thx for the challenge. It's always good to get out of the comfort zone, any beginner would avoid this angle, is scary, 😂 but the difficult part of drawing is…drawing.

Bonjour Léa,

Your portraits are always fantastic. My question is do you use yourself as reference when making your portraits? Just a curious 😈.

That's such an interesting question! I could write a whole Portrait Gem about it. I'll do my best to answer it in the Q&A!
