I too have had days where it felt like every artistic grace had left my body and I I was a fraud. At first I was scared, and later on I told myself it was the effects of my burnout. I'm glad I found this, I'm definitely going to try drafting next time it happens.

Also, I'd like to draw one of your demons sometime, they seem exciting. How or where do I start?

You’re absolutely right—most of the time, art blocks are psychological rather than a lack of skill. It’s amazing that you’re willing to push through by trying drafting next time it happens. That mindset will take you far!

As for drawing one of my demons, the Elementary Demon redraw is exclusive to my students. However, you can still study one of my portraits from The Portrait Gems! Feel free to follow one of my videos or step-by-step guides and create your own version.

I also experienced it. An year ago I felt like I couldn't draw anymore. It has been terrible, and I'm still afraid I'm less good than I used to be.

It’s really brave of you to share this. I’ve been through it too—about a year ago, I felt like I couldn’t draw anymore, and it was awful. What helped me was redrawing pieces that felt easy, ones I knew I could do well. It created a safe zone where I could slowly reconnect with my art without pressure. Maybe that could help you too.
