TODAY’S GEM
As you know, I’m preparing for the launch of my new masterclass and the big Tribe event at the end of the month… so let’s just say I’m swamped. Between the holiday season and starting 2025, I’ve barely had time for art. But if you know me, you know how important it is for me to stay connected to my creativity daily (because whenever I stop completely, it’s so hard to start again).
So, I gave myself a simple challenge: draw every day. Whether it’s 4 hours or just 5 minutes.
For this sassy girl portrait, I decided to draw from imagination—and, most importantly, with no expectations.
By now, I’ve developed a pretty steady process:
I always begin with the outline of the head and proportion lines.
Most of my quick portrait process focuses on finding the right tilt and proportions. That’s why I usually simplify features into ovals at first.
Once the base is down, I gradually build up the details.
And voilà, now you’ve got a sassy girl looking right at you! 🖤
Bisou,
Léa
