The flu’s been going around in France, and I’ve been stuck in bed for three days. Bored out of my mind, I decided to clean my studio—at least something productive, right? But within minutes, I was deep-diving into my sketchbooks (old and new)…
Perfect excuse to share a few pieces I’ve never shown before.
Early 2020. Right before I started taking portraits seriously. They say talent doesn’t matter for drawing, that it’s all about hard work… Well, I think I’m living proof of that... What even was that?
Spring 2021. Experimenting with alcohol markers. Messy, but fully living my Japanese era!
This, my friend, is my true nature. I rarely show it but… Behind the clean lines and minimalist portraits, there’s actually a chaotic, messy artist with frantic, almost epileptic strokes.
Summer 2023. Playing around with concept art, weapons, and character design. Can you spot the beginnings of my current style here?
January 2024. I was traveling in Asia then, sketching by the Mekong River. I was trying to capture the concept of the river spirit, adding frangipani flowers from the trees that were everywhere around me. Back in the days, I wasn’t happy with it, so I never shared it… but now? I love how creepy she looks.
If you’ve created a study from one of my tutorials, have a story related to one of my Gems, or even feedback, send it to me by email or in the comments—it might be featured in the Tribe Spotlight and admired by +20,000 people!
I absolutely love the Japanese style page 😍
You're good at weapons too!!
