TODAY’S GEM
Lately, with my Reality to Fantasy students, we’ve been redrawing my 2023 Elementary Demons. And for a change, I’m drafting and thumbnailing on my iPad!
Until now, my entire process was traditional—countless sheets of paper filled with sketches and ideas. It has its charm, but the biggest downside? It’s time-consuming. So I’ve been testing out digital sketching these past weeks.
My thoughts so far: Exploration becomes so much easier. Layers and CTRL+Z make it simple to try multiple versions and solve tricky puzzles—like finding the right pose, placing tattoos, or designing hair.
On the other hand, I miss the precision and the feel of graphite on paper.
Maybe the future is finding a way to blend the best of both?
Voilà, that’s all for today.
Bisou,
Léa

I really enjoyed making this drawing. With it, I was able to notice some mistakes I used to make in my old drawings and learned how not to repeat them. I was very happy to see my drawing here. Thank you in advance.❤
Such a great news, will there be some information about the process of your oil paintings on the new course? There are my crush
